'In this age, which believes that there is a short cut to everything, the greatest lesson to be learned is that the most difficult way is, in the long run, the easiest.' ~Henry Miller, The Books in My Life
*** God's annual exam... hopefully, I passed. Thank you to everyone who has been part of my year! The past many months has been a learning trek for the soul. You, each taught me something, somehow... knowingly or unknowingly, directly or indirectly. Here's to keeping the faith and seeing hope in everything. Keep on keeping on. Blessed be. 08242013
there are so many little things we take for granted because we let every other thing in this world cloud our view.it's time we try to see things with hopeful eyes. it's always okay in the end... if it's not okay... it's not the end.

maring thoughts
*weather permitted a metro trip. maring stayed so long with habagat that people got tired of the extended holiday. got worried of the after effects... damaged properties, lost lives and livelihood, and the deteriorating health of those affected. although it did exhibit the resilience of us filipinos. that ever waterproof spirit. but then, the current, other national issue on the pork barrel scam got even more attention because what could have been used to help build new and better infrastructure, provide better health benefits, employment, education, etc... was pocketed by a few thick skinned folks. frustrating. the rains had stopped. but this other storm that the country's facing will require more than the filipino's waterproof spirit. extra prayers for the country. 08222013
looking up, looking in.
'It is singular how soon we lose the impression of what ceases to be before us. A year impairs, a luster obliterates. There is little distinct left without an effort of memory. Then indeed the lights are rekindled for a moment - but who can be sure that the Imagination is not the torch bearer. ' -- Lord Byron

some storm
"How many may a man of diffusive conversation count among his acquaintances, whose lives have been signalized by numberless escapes; who never cross the river but in a storm, or take a journey into the country without more adventures than befel the knights-errant of ancient times in pathless forests or enchanted castles! How many must he know, to whom portents and prodigies are of daily occurrence; and for whom nature is hourly working wonders invisible to every other eye, only to supply them with subjects of conversation?" ~Samuel Johnson

Two
Too much to get things done
Often the effort seemed slighted
Is it ever worth it
Curious one trudge the trail
Crossing the bridge blindly anew
Uncertain where it leads to

Take two
How do I start? I've forgotten my writing style.
Today, started pretty much gloomy cause of the weather. Monsoon rains are here. Strengthen by a typhoon named after a fave artist. The Spurs lost to the Heat in what seems to be a rigged game. Workwise, I've progress a bit with this weekend's rushings. I lost my momentum somewhere after eight pm. I also heard a news, which saddens me. But couldn't do anything but watched from the sidelines. I am after all a better observer. Today, too, I trying to close a book on a chapter (if only in my mind) that kept being read over and over... told ten million times in a dozen versions about a proud blood I know. May it be so. Will try my hardest to be resolute about it. Good luck to me and the many things I wish to do!
For now, I'll stare at a blank card and a white box. Say extra prayers for me and you and hope tomorrow the creative energy comes early and let me share her through the work I do.
